Dyed or Ceramic: Which Film Is Right for You?
We install both. Here's what you need to know, without the technical jargon.
Dyed Film
Great ValueA proven, affordable option that provides solid privacy, glare reduction, and a clean appearance. Dyed film uses an absorptive layer to reduce incoming light, delivering reliable results at a competitive price.
- Dark, clean look at a competitive price
- Improved privacy and reduced glare
- Reliable performance for everyday driving
Ceramic Film
RecommendedThe premium choice. Ceramic film uses nano-ceramic particles (not dye) to reject solar heat without adding darkness. Cooler cabin, better UV protection, zero signal interference, and outstanding clarity.
- Maximum heat rejection regardless of shade
- Crystal-clear optical clarity
- Zero interference with GPS, cellular, or radio
- Most durable, fade-resistant film available
FormulaOne by LLumar: Built for Vehicles Like Yours
FormulaOne is LLumar's premium automotive film line, engineered specifically for performance, clarity, and longevity. It blocks up to 99% of UV radiation, delivers significant heat and glare reduction from day one, and holds its performance for the life of the film.
As an authorized dealer, Pro Window Tinting installs FormulaOne to manufacturer specifications, meaning your film comes with warranty coverage from a shop that's accountable to that warranty.
We don't carry every brand on the market. We carry the one we believe in.
Transparent Pricing, No Surprises
Window tinting pricing varies based on your vehicle type, number of windows, the film you choose, and whether any old film needs to be removed first. We don't publish a one-size-fits-all price list because we don't do one-size-fits-all work.
Our quotes are straightforward, our pricing is fair for the quality we deliver, and we'll walk you through every option before you commit to anything.
Common Questions
Is window tinting legal in Colorado?
How dark can I go?
Colorado tint law specifies limits by window position:
- Windshield: A non-reflective strip on the top 4 inches only. The remainder must stay clear.
- Front side windows (driver and passenger): Must allow more than 27% of light through. This is the strictest limit on the vehicle.
- Rear side windows and rear window: Allowed down to 27% VLT by default. If both your windshield and front side windows are above 70% VLT (typically factory glass), rear windows can go darker.
- Prohibited tints: Red and amber tint colors are not permitted. Metallic, mirrored, and highly reflective films are also banned statewide.
We will walk you through what is legal for your specific vehicle and recommend the darkest compliant option for each window.

- Bubbling, lifting, or peeling resulting from an installation error
- Film delamination not caused by physical damage or misuse
- Edge separation due to improper installation technique
- Film defects covered under the applicable LLumar manufacturer warranty
Typically Not Covered
- Physical damage, scratches, or abuse of the film
- Window or glass damage, whether pre-existing or new
- Damage resulting from modifications to windows or glass after installation

Keep your warranty card and invoice. The official, controlling warranty terms are those on your physical warranty card and the applicable LLumar manufacturer documentation. If you have questions about your specific coverage, ask at the time of your appointment.
How to Care for Your New Tint
Window film goes through a curing process after installation. What you do in the first few days and weeks protects your investment and keeps the film looking its best. Here is what to expect.
Automotive Tint
- Do not roll your windows down.
- Expect some haze, light streaks, or small moisture bubbles. This is completely normal during the curing process.
- Keep windows up as much as possible. Follow any specific guidance from our team at drop-off.
- Do not push, poke, or try to squeeze out any small bubbles.
- The film may still look slightly cloudy. It typically clears on its own as moisture evaporates.
- Do not clean the inside of the glass yet. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners, abrasive pads, and newspaper on tinted glass at all times.
- After 7–10 days, clean gently with a soft microfiber cloth and a mild, ammonia-free cleaner.
- Keep sharp objects, seat belt buckles, and pet claws away from the glass.
- Full cure can take several weeks depending on weather and film type.
- Persistent large bubbles or significant edge lifting after the curing period? Bring it back. We will sort it out.
Home & Business Tint
- Expect some haze or small moisture pockets under the film. This is normal and will clear as the film cures.
- Do not apply anything to the filmed surface: no stickers, tape, suction cups, or window clings.
- Leave filmed windows undisturbed.
- Do not clean the filmed surface. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before any contact.
- After at least 7–14 days, clean gently with a soft microfiber cloth or squeegee and a mild, ammonia-free cleaner.
- No razor blades, abrasive scrubbers, or products containing ammonia or strong solvents.
- Some haze in the first few weeks is normal. Heavy or persistent clouding after a full month should be reported to us.
This is general guidance. Always defer to any specific aftercare instructions from our team at the time of your appointment. If anything looks off after the curing period, call us at (970) 242-6050.
